If you’ve stumbled across this blog, I’m guessing it’s because you’re looking to improve the way you manage your personal finances.
Well, fear no more…
It doesn’t matter whether you’re an absolute beginner, or a dab hand at the ol’ budgeting malarkey, there is something for everyone on this blog and there is definitely always something new to learn.
So… Who am I?!
I’m Beth (‘iyaa).
I’m a Manchester girl through and through, although I like to identify as a posh-Manc! A few years ago, I made the decision to move to the beautiful town of Cheltenham, which was a slight adjustment let me tell you. After many rigorous years of studying and no social life, I finally became a Chartered Accountant in 2021. I work full time as a Management Accountant for a local business and also run a business in my spare time (more on this to come).
My main passions include dancing – I attend a weekly dance class via Zoom which I love! I also dabble in baking from time to time (I’m no Mary Berry, more like a ‘Nailed It’ contestant if you’ve ever seen the Netflix show!).
I started my adult life with no clue about how or why I needed to manage my money. Without the tools and guidance I needed, I soon racked up credit card debts totaling over £20k! (Safe to say I needed help…desperately!). Although I had the theoretical knowledge under my belt, for some reason, there was a disconnect to my reality.
What did I do?
I created a budget.
The budget wasn’t fancy; it didn’t show my net worth, include any pie charts or graphs detailing every inch of my life in monetary value. Instead it was as simple as Money In vs Money Out – and it honestly saved me! I was able to visualise where my money was actually going which then enabled me to set out a plan to freedom.
How can I help you? (I hear you ask)
During my time, I have picked up so many useful tips and tricks that I’m here to share everything with you on this very blog!
I will help you to:
- Take control of your money
- Ditch that pesky debt
- Help you to discover a real passion with potential side hustle ideas
As I mentioned earlier, I run my own business in my spare time. I have my own Etsy shop where I sell digital planners, trackers and other resources to help people on their financial journey. From time to time, I will release new resources to the shop, which you can purchase here (or via the Shop in the menu bar), so feel free to have a nosey!

If you have a product or service that you think is a great fit with me and my brand, then I would love to collaborate. Instagram is my main platform and have seen huge growth over the past six months alone. I would absolutely consider any sponsored posts and reviews on my page, but only with companies I genuinely feel a personal connection with and can honestly vouch for.
